This blog is called “just a reference base” because articles can be outdated for your current setup. I mostly write down items that I encounter in my work or when playing at home and consider noteworthy.
Why Static?
With posts published maybe once a year, keeping up with WordPress core updates, PHP versions, plugins, and theme patches became unnecessary overhead. This site has been migrated to pure static HTML and CSS:
- Low Maintenance: No database, no CMS, no vulnerability patching required.
- Lightweight: Blazing-fast page loads, minimal resources, hostable anywhere.
- Simple Workflow: To publish a new post, simply create an HTML file and add a link to the index.
- Privacy First: No trackers, No cookies, No telemetry.
Topics Covered
System administration (Linux, Windows, FreeBSD), networking, virtualization (VMware, Docker, KVM), storage, and monitoring tools.
